"What type of wood is used in making the chair. Can it withstand being exposed to rain and sun"
We ordered 2 sets of these chairs for around our fire pit. They are very deep and good quality with real wood. The cushions are a little stiff but nothing we can't live with. My only complaint is that assembly was tricky. Many of the pre-drilled holes had a tight fit with the hardware provided. I ended up using a ratcheted Allen key instead of the tiny Allen key provided to assemble the chairs. The ratcheted Allen key worked like a charm and made assembly so much easier, but I know not everyone has access to these so just be aware when you purchase.

Handsome & Elegant...Great for the Price Pretty easy to assemble, I would have someone lend a hand, as goes faster, not that many pieces to deal with and all the holes matched the screws. Loved the fact that the cushions have a velcro attachment to the chair so they don't blow away, of the high-rise patio. The red cushions are slightly muted red, we found so handsome for this elegant penthouse patio--we did not want fire-engine red. There's is a nice detail of curve in the wood at the end of the arm that brings it a notch higher in perceived quality. Beautiful modern, low profile without being too big.

Grenamda club chairs The cushion foam is so hard you might as well sit on a rock. The fabric has a cheap plastic feel. The wood on the other hand is beautiful.

Looks great and was fairly easy to assemble These were a great price so I took a chance. They arrived quickly. They were easy to put together but be sure to have a drill with Allen wrench tools as it would have been difficult to put this together with the manual wrench that was sent. I ordered the grey on grey and they look just like the picture. They looks really nice on my balcony and they feel really sturdy. The cushions are a bit stiff but I like that as I think they will hold their shape more than if they weren't.
